Person Centred Counselling in Crewe and Online

Empathy without compassion can show a lack of understanding and suggest an absence of meaningful support, or can be a reason not to for some.

A Space That's Genuinely Yours

Whatever's going on for you right now, it takes something to reach out. Maybe you've been carrying it for a while. Maybe things have shifted recently, and you're not quite sure where to turn. Either way, you're in the right place.

The space I offer is built around you, and is designed to be accessible and inclusive. Not a set of techniques to get through, not a box-ticking exercise. Just honest, human support, at a pace that works for you.

A Bit About How I Work

I'm Connor Shaw, a BACP-registered Person-Centred Counsellor (PCC) based in Crewe. I work with adults and adolescents from the age of 16, face-to-face in central Crewe, online or by phone, so wherever you are, there's a way to connect.

Person-Centred Counselling puts you at the heart of everything. I'm not here to hand you solutions or tell you what to do. My job is to create the kind of space where you feel genuinely heard, and from there, the clarity tends to come. I work with a broad range of issues, and I don't shy away from the complex problems people may be struggling with. I also have a limited number of concession spaces available for those on a low income or in full-time education.

Working with Adults

Whether you're dealing with something specific or just feel like things aren't quite right, adult counselling offers a private, consistent space to work through it at your own pace.

Working with Adolescents (16+)

Growing up is complicated. For young people carrying more than they should, having somewhere safe to talk, somewhere that's entirely theirs, can make a real difference.

What to Expect from Counselling

Counselling gives you a dedicated space to slow down and think. It's not about being told what's wrong or what to fix. It's about building enough awareness to start seeing things differently.

Sessions are confidential, held at a regular time each week, and there's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive.

As your counsellor, my role is to listen properly, to ask the questions worth asking, and to walk alongside you, not ahead of you. Most people find that the process itself starts to shift things.

What Brings People to Counselling?

People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons. Anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and the general weight of daily life are all common starting points. I also have particular experience with PTSD, health anxiety, and end-of-life concerns.

I work with neurodivergent clients and those awaiting a diagnosis, including young people navigating identity and everything that comes with it. I have experience supporting veterans and survivors of childhood abuse, and I'm proud to offer a space that feels safe for people who've learned not to trust easily.

Thinking about taking that first step? The initial consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we get to know each other and figure out whether we're a good fit. No commitment, no expectations.
